I investigated using teacher tube to upload from that site to my blog. Still working on figuring out how to get the video on the blog.

I also looked at both Voicethread and Jing this AM as well.

My First Slideshare

My first slideshare is going a little slow. My keynote/powerpoint presentation is not uploading. I will have to try it again at home.

This is going to be a great tool for me though. I will be able to upload my classroom powerpoints to slideshare and students will be able to review them and post comments. They will also be able to comment on each slideshow and add their knowledge about the subject to share.

Also, because I am a football coach I will be able to make great use of slideshare. I have completed a number of powerpoint presentations either for coaching clinics or for the youth coaches in my district. Now coaches that want to view my presentations at a later date will be able to do so. I will also be able to add video via YouTube to show with my presentation slides.

This is the first blog from the Advanced Tech Seminar. We are sitting in the Abromson Center at USM learning about how to create and set up a blog. Interesting stuff for sure. This would be great to use to keep students up to date with what is going on in class especially for students that are absent. It would also be great for students to contribute to show their learning on a particular subject. That is all for now.
